Clayton Homes are dealing, on a daily basis, with issues that have an impact on our environment. It is, therefore, incumbent upon us to adopt a responsible approach to matters such as remediation of contaminated land and to our construction process. It is important that we strive to minimise the impact on the environment by the prevention of pollution as we carry out our construction process. The preparation of a planning application often have assessments carried out to analyse its environmental impact and its sustainability.

Our approach to an environmentally friendly process includes the following:

  • Carry out as many developments as possible on Brownfield sites. The Group currently carries out over 95% of its developments on such land.
  • We are committed to ensuring that protected trees and protected species are properly looked after.
  • We ensure that building materials are recycled on site as far as possible.
  • Our objective is to ensure our developments realise the desired financial returns within an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
  • Clayton Homes work closely with local councils and government to asses the needs of the surrounding areas before carrying out any works.
